Training Opportunities for IAGS

A number of different organisations provide training that can help you deliver good Careers Education, Information, Advice, Guidance and Support for 13-19 year olds (CEIAGS). Below is a selection:

Connexions Northamptonshire

Connexions lead on staff development for PSHEE Economic Well-Being; Careers Education, Information, Advice, Guidance and Support.

NCC – Learning, Achievement and School Improvement (LASI)

  • LASI lead on staff development for PSHEE Personal Well-Being, Citizenship and all other elements not covered by Connexions.

International Centre for Guidance Studies (iCeGS) at University of Derby

The iCeGS has collaborated with Connexions services in the East Midlands to offer accredited training for people leading or working in careers work. Courses are modular and offered at certificate or advanced diploma level. Attendance at these courses is supported by Connexions Northamptonshire. University of Cambridge

Cambridge provides a number of excellent Certificate level accredited courses for leaders and managers of Careers Education and IAG in schools. These are taught by David Andrews.
